The Dark Family History of John F. Kerry

The Dark Family History of John F. Kerry

More info on Kerry to consider:

Kerry's family background is interesting. Aside from his mother being blue blood, Brahmin Massachusetts Winthrop/Forbes lineage and Kerry marrying into the Heinz fortune, his grandfather was a Jew (Fritz Kohn) who married Ida Lowe and became Frederick Kerry, hiding his Jewish heritage. After coming form Ellis Island in l905, in 5 short years he established himself in Chicage business and moved to Brookline, Massachusetts, the home of the Kennedy clan who Kerry is busy aping (JFK). He strangely committed suicide, supposedly broke, at an early age, and yet his wife and family continued to prosper...Kerry says through inheritance.

Ostensibly, his grandfather or grandmother did not come from any money lineage, so I wonder what inheritance he's talking about.

Kerry''s father was a "foreign service officer," who also went to Yale (and Harvard) and married into the blueblood family. He was a lawyer but is mostly listed as a "foreign officer" and government employee. I wondered how a lowly government worker could be so connected. Then I discovered that he had been legal adviser to James B. Conant.

Conant's fame is legendary. He was on the Manhattan Project, chief scientific advisor to the White House, ambassador to Germany, and part of the Century Group that advocated a militaristic New World Order philosophy for the U.S. (Think PNAC, although I haven't gotten direct connections.)

I suspect that Kerry's father was an intelligence agent, certainly with top intelligence clearance. Not much is written about him and the way he is written about seems downplayed, given his connection to Conant. Nothing on that.

Kerry went to Yale, like his father, certainly was Skull and Bones (a breeding hotbed for future CIA operatives), went into the Navy and became an anti-war advocate that sort of took over a grassroots group as do many insiders trying to play both sides of the field...

'DHS': Fresh Homeland propaganda for teevee

Propaganda Watch

George W. Bush is apparently giving the White House seal of approval to a television series, D.H.S.--The Series, a drama about the Department of Home Security being introduced Thursday night to prospective networks at an Industry gathering.

President Bush and Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge both "endorse and contribute sound bites to the introductions of the series," according to the show's producers.

Though the series' theme relates to the President's agenda on national security and international terrorism, it is virtually unprecedented for the White House to endorse such a fictional representation. It is unclear what input or relation if any the President or the real DHS would have with the show in the future.
[...]
DHS, a multimillion-dollar episodic series, will explore the inner workings of the Department of Homeland Security, teaming the FBI, CIA, Secret Service, and National Security Administration (NSA) together with "first responders" such as local police, fire and safety administrators.

North Dakota Air Guard shot down Flight 93
    Friday, February 27, 2004

LibertyForum's always reliable "ratcat" has posted a partial transcript of Alex Jones' interview with Col. Donn de Grand- Pre, U.S. Army (ret.) from 2004 02 25.
John: And was United Airlines Flight 93 shot down in Pennsylvania by a U.S. or NATO pilot . . . ?

DGP: That was hit at 10:00 hours. It was taken out by the North Dakota Air Guard. I know the pilot who fired those two missiles to take down 93.

John: Was it shot down because the airline pilots actually regained control of the hijacked auto-pilot or was that to replace the unmanned drone that was shot down?

DGP: No, it was – the aircraft, you see, had totally unconscious people on board. There were no hijackers. At 9:35, the Happy Hooligans, the Air Guard flying the F-16s were ordered to take that plane out. And they took it out from 9:35 to 10:00.

John: Were there any refueling jets involved in that operation?

AJ: Hold on a second, John. The question is why would they deviate from the plan of flying it into the Capitol? Why did the globalists decide to go ahead and shoot the plane down?

DGP: There had been an adjustment to the controls, probably by an AWACs aircraft flying overhead again – remote control. And it was on a course for either the Capitol or the White House. And at this stage, you don’t know. The Happy Hooligans came in and took care of it.

AJ: Do you think they were not following orders?

    DGP: Who, the Happy Hooligans?

AJ: Well, yeah, you’ve got Cheney running around, we’ve got the stand down taking place.

DGP: Well, this is correct, but you see the Adj. General of the State of North Dakota gave the command to take it out. And, by God, they took it out. And I’ve got the full story in the book.

AJ: That’s a good thing they did that. You said you talked to the pilot. Think about this folks. Imagine what Bush would have gotten if he would have had that plane fly into the Capitol? Imagine the police state we would be in right now.

    DGP: Yes, yes, yes, indeed.

AJ: And so you had to have the diversionary blast at the Pentagon so no one would get suspicious and think it was a military coup.

    DGP: Perhaps, perhaps.

AJ: John, does that answer your question?

John: Was there any refueling tankers used by the North Dakota Air Guard and what tanker wing was used?

DGP: I don’t know about the aircraft itself. I don’t know about refueling. They came off base in Langley and it was just a few minutes out from Langley to the intercept over Pennsylvania. It was just a matter of minutes.

AJ: Colonel, how did you get in touch with the pilot who shot the plane down?

DGP: It turned out to be an old friend of mine from the Air National Guard and this is my home state of North Dakota. And I attended the ceremony in North Dakota and watched the Adj. General [garbled] the pilot being decorated a year later for this activity that happened on 911 with Flight 93.

    [...]

AJ: Go over that a little bit slower for folks. That’s a big deal. You talked to the pilot, a friend of yours, who shot down Flight 93 that was going for the Capitol or the White House. And go over that for folks.

DGP: Okay, quick rundown. They were out of Hector Field, Fargo, North Dakota. A bunch, this 119 Fighter Group and they are called the Happy Hooligans. They are probably the best interceptors that we have in the country. They were moved to Langley Air Force Base from Hector Field down to Southern Virginia. And when the klaxon horn went off at 9:35, those two pilots put down their coffee and shot into their aircraft and took off. They didn’t know where they were going initially but by 10:00 hours, they had rendezvoused over Southern Pennsylvania. That’s about 250 miles in just a matter of minutes and engaged 93 with two side-winder missiles. And they accomplished their objective. Now Hector Field, I use to fly out of Hector Field some time ago. I know most of those pilots. I could name names. I know the National Guard Adj. General. And they were decorated about a year later and I have the full write up of that story in my book.

AJ: Yeah and it’s just ignored by the media. I have that article, too. And later, well okay, it was a missile, well there wasn’t “Let’s Roll.” It’s all made-up theatre for the public and we buy it like a bunch of saps.

    DGP: That is correct.

    Wolfowitz was fragged
    Thursday, February 26, 2004

LibertyForum's always reliable "ratcat" has posted a partial transcript of Alex Jones' interview with Col. Donn de Grand- Pre, U.S. Army (ret.) from 2004 02 25. Stunning revelations here:
    [...]
DGP: Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz. They almost got him in Baghdad when they fired the salvo, one night, of weaponry and they scared Paul Wolfowitz off. He?s ready to resign or get the hell out.

AJ: You think that was U.S. forces doing that?

DGP: I believe it. It was very well planned again and ..

AJ: Yeah, only U.S. forces would know that he would be there. Yeah.

DGP: That is correct. And the precision of those weapons that came into the hotel. There were eleven rounds in all and I can speak from authenticity that they scared the hell out of Paul Wolfowitz. And probably, C. Paul Bremer
    [...]
Later in the interview, du Grand Pre concurred that a missle and/or GlobalHawk hit the Pentagon.

Ex-Joint Chief of Staff Meyers spreads 9/11 truth

LibertyForum's always reliable "ratcat" has posted a partial transcript of Alex Jones' interview with Col. Donn de Grand- Pre, U.S. Army (ret.) from 2004 02 25. Stunning revelations here:
DGP: the group of pilots ? and they will remain anonymous ? were a wonderful mix of commercial, military and civilian pilots. At any rate, after three days, the decisions were unanimous. And I wrote my 24-page report up and submitted it to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs.. . .

The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs has 500 copies of this 24-page report made and sent out, including, to the White House. And I have to say it was including Pres. Bush. So they got a copy of the report.

AJ: That was Myers at the time.

    DGP: That is correct.

AJ: And so, he sent out 500 copies ? that would mean that he believed it.

DGP: I?m quite sure that he believed in it. I think that he still believes in it.
    [...]
Later in the interview, du Grand Pre concurred that a missle and/or GlobalHawk hit the Pentagon.

    Israel nuked Baghdad in 1991

LibertyForum's always reliable "ratcat" has posted a partial transcript of Alex Jones' interview with Col. Donn de Grand- Pre, U.S. Army (ret.) from 2004 02 25. Stunning revelations here:
DGP: Well, the DU rounds are over-played, first of all. They aren?t that potent and secondarily, we must consider that weapons of mass destruction have already been used by some of the opposition in the period February of 1991. Weapons of mass destruction, including low-yield nuclear weapons.

AJ: Okay, can you break that down for us?

DGP: Well, I break it down in the time frame that we had sunlight images of rounds or missiles being fired from the Negev desert toward Baghdad. That?s 600 miles distance. And six or eight of the rounds came in. That was February of 1991.

AJ: Are you saying that the Israelis used miniaturized nuclear weapons?

DGP: Yes sir. That?s what I?m saying, in plain English.

W's lost time: Bush in CIA's Operation Condor?
    Wednesday, February 25, 2004

Former NBC producer Daniel Hopsicker connects some dots on his MadCowMorningNews 2004 02 25:
In the official version of George W. Bush’s chronology during his National Guard years is a striking statement which has been totally overlooked in the major media. A timeline of President George W. Bush's service in the National Guard compiled by The Associated Press says, for 1971: “Participates in drills and alerts at Ellington. Begins work for Houston-based agricultural company.”
    [...]
When the media roll over completely on the old "who what when where & why business," . . .Somebody is covering something up.
    [. . .]
A profile of George W in 2000 in Texas Monthly said, “George W. Bush’s responsibilities included sizing up plant nurseries for possible acquisition.”

Is it just us? Does anyone else have a problem seeing George W. Bush as Mr. Green Jeans? . . .

What did George W. Bush know about tropical plants that made him a horticultural expert sharp enough to be deployed overseas looking for acquisitions?

The question answers itself. The answer is, almost assuredly, "nothing." So it is reasonable to conclude that George W. Bush wasn't in the tropical plant business during the year he says he was.

So then, just what business was Bush involved with, while traipsing around Central America?
    [...]
MadCowMorningNews has uncovered indications that George W. Bush was in Central America serving a ‘tour of duty’ in a shadowy arm of the U.S. Government which Watergate burglar and disgraced CIA Agent E. Howard Hunt called "Clandestine Services." . . .

Bush's plant-nursin' jet-flyin' story may have just been the future Presidents “cover” while the young second lieutenant was actually detached—officially or otherwise—to a massive clandestine U.S. government operation that was going on right at this time in Central America, called Operation Condor.
    [...]
The Secret History of the Alabama Guard . . .

From an Air Guard base in Montgomery, where a decade later George W Bush will, Zen-like, both be and not be, Barry Seal participated in Caribbean and Central American operations . . .
There's much more at the source link, and Hopsicker goes on to break down the relationship between this "nursery" company and Zapata -- Poppy Bush's CIA-front oil company.

Here's more on Operation Condor from the National Security Archive at George Wasington University:
On March 6, 2001, The New York Times reported the existence of a recently declassified State Department document revealing that the United States facilitated communications among South American intelligence chiefs who were working together to eliminate left-wing opposition groups in their countries as part of a covert program known as Operation Condor.

The document, a 1978 cable from Robert E. White, the U.S. ambassador to Paraguay, was discovered by Professor J. Patrice McSherry of Long Island University, who has published several articles on Condor. She called the cable "another piece of increasingly weighty evidence suggesting that U.S. military and intelligence officials supported and collaborated with Condor as a secret partner or sponsor."

Ridge: Cops to spy on you with military database network

If MATRIX wasn't enough for you, there's another system set up. . .

    From Washington Post:
Hundreds of federal, state and local intelligence and law enforcement agencies will be able to share threat reports, investigative leads and potential evidence instantaneously under a new counter-terrorism computer system announced yesterday by Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge. .. .

Homeland Security Information Network is part of a sweeping data-sharing policy adapted by federal authorities. The network, created in response to presidential priorities, is designed to . . . give local police chiefs, mayors and governors greater access to federal intelligence.

Ridge announced the launch of the system in the Joint Operations Command Center at Washington's police headquarters, where he was joined by Mayor Anthony A. Williams (D) and officials from New York City and California, who developed the system with the Defense Intelligence Agency.
    [...]
The Internet-based secure network marks a dramatic expansion of U.S. law enforcement agencies' ability to simultaneously share time-sensitive information.
    [...]
The network's users are . . . governors, state homeland security advisers, commanding officers for each state's National Guard, state and urban police departments and emergency centers.

Telescreens spying on SoCal Internet cafes

    Reason.com:
If you want to check your e-mail in Garden Grove, California, get your ID ready, sign in, wave to the nice security guard, and smile for the camera. Late last month, the state's 4th District Court of Appeal reversed a lower court and upheld a local ordinance imposing a raft of restrictions on when and how Internet cafes in the city may operate, including a rule that, as a bilious dissent put it, "literally forces a 'Big Brother' style telescreen to look over one's shoulder while accessing the Internet." Other communities have enacted similar rules, and more are considering following suit.

ACLU FOIAs Ohio AG on MATRIX data-mining

    From ACLU of Ohio:
The Multi-state Anti-terrorism Information Exchange (MATRIX) was created shortly after Congress killed the Pentagon’s “Total Information Awareness” data mining program over privacy concerns.

The ACLU of Ohio filed a “Freedom of Information” request with the Ohio Attorney General’s office on October 30, 2003, and again on February 9, 2004, seeking answers about the state’s participation in MATRIX. The goal of the request was to find out what information sources MATRIX is drawing on, who has access to the database, and how it is being used. The ACLU of Ohio is still waiting for answers. ...

MATRIX, operated by a private Florida company, combines state government records, such as driver's license information, with commercially available data to create a vast database capable of compiling and analyzing a profile of every American.

Pennsylvania State Police documents obtained by the ACLU as part of a series of state "Freedom of Information" requests repeatedly discuss a "data mining application, called FCIC Plus," which is described as containing a "terrorism factor information query capability."

A slide show obtained from the Michigan Department of State Police contains charts graphically describing how police information from multiple states will be combined with commercial databases containing "20+ Billion Records From 100’s of sources."

The minutes of a November 2003 MATRIX executive board meeting, recently obtained by the ACLU of Florida, list Ohio as a participant and show the Ohio Attorney General’s office in attendance. . . .

French-Iraqi intel hit-team killed David Kelly

    Propaganda Matrix 2004 02 23:
On the Alex Jones radio show. Michael Shrimpton, a UK national security lawyer . . . revealed that sources within MI5 and MI6 are `furious' that Kelly was murdered.
    [...]
Speaking with impeccable credentials, including contributions to the Journal for International Security Affairs and having previously given a closed-doors confidential briefing to the US Senate Intelligence Committee, Shrimpton exploded the much-reported myth that Dr Kelly had taken his own life.

He spoke of the probable method of Kelly's death, the group which most likely carried out the assassination, who arranged it and finally where the responsibility lies. Additionally, he explained the political context and motive for Kelly's murder.
    [...]
Shrimpton explained how he had learned that David Kelly was the BBC's source before the BBC disclosed this fact. He went on to explain that his source from within the intelligence community knew David Kelly personally, and did not believe that he had committed suicide. After making their own enquiries, says Shrimpton, this source determined that Dr Kelly had not committed suicide, but rather had been assassinated.

Apparently at ease to discuss these explosive disclosures, Shrimpton explained that there was advance knowledge of Kelly's death in Whitehall, but that the deed itself was most likely carried out by the French external security organisation, DGSE. There was no indication that anybody in MI5 or MI6 had been involved. He went further by suggesting that the hit squad itself was composed of Iraqis from the former regime's Mukhabarat intelligence organisation, recruited from Damascus with the help of Syria's own intelligence apparatus. They were apparently then flown into Corsica, seven days prior to the murder. He doubts that any of the hit-squad are still alive.

Basra:Killings of Vendors in Iraqi City Drive Alcohol Sales Off Streets

[New York Times - Feb.18, 2004] In the old part of this city, on the block where people come to quench their thirst for beer and spirits, Ahmed Mahmoud pointed to the spot where blood flows more freely than alcohol.

There, masked men leaped out of two pickup trucks last Sunday evening and unloaded their Kalashnikov rifles at a group of sidewalk alcohol vendors, he and other witnesses said.....

Here in Basra, the mystery surrounding the latest shootings has grown each day. The streets are awash with talk that the men were killed by conservative Shiite groups.

Police officers said in interviews that the attackers were wearing police uniforms and pulled up in two police trucks, raising questions of whether the police are working with the religious groups to impose Shariah, the Islamic legal code based on the Koran, on the city.

One officer at a police station a quarter mile from the crime scene said the killers were members of an intelligence unit of the Basra police.....

The intelligence unit of the Basra police is run by Lt. Col. Khalaf Badran, a former member of the Badr Brigade, and is tolerated by the British, who control this region.

The Badr group serves as the armed wing of the Supreme Council for the Islamic Revolution in Iraq [SCIRI], possibly the country's most influential Shiite party
. American administrators say they want to disarm the Badr Brigade, but its members are helping the police throughout Iraq maintain security, said Hassan al-Amari, the leader of the Badr group....

Who are the SCIRI's Badr Brigade and their leaders of the Hakim clan? Leading Shiite Cleric Returns From Exile:Iran Ally Focuses on Need for Self-Rule
"Since fleeing the holy city of Najaf for Iran 23 years ago, Hakim has been closely aligned with and supported by Iran's Islamic government and the clerics who lead it, including the late Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, whom Hakim thanked for his support over the years.
Hakim established his own large militia in Iran, known as the Badr Brigade, composed not only of infantry but heavy artillery and tanks. Members of the brigade have been pouring into Iraq, though they have not come as an organized army......
Moreover, Hakim took the side of Iran during the Iran-Iraq war of the 1980s
, which taints him in the view of some more secular Shiites."

Basra is "Iraq's main port on the Shatt-al-Arab River." Basra is now "policed" by Iran's surrogates, the SCIRI. During the Iran-Iraq War, the secular Saddam regime and Iran's theocracy fought to control of the Shatt-al-Arab waterway. And, isn't it amazing! This is where Iran plans to build their new oil pipeline! The oil minister in US-occupied Iraq "said Baghdad was studying an Iranian proposal to set up an oil pipeline via the Shat-al-Arab waterway in southern Iraq." http://www.guardian.co.uk/worldlatest/story/0,1280,-3780462,00.html This was a deal that the Bush administration worked out with the SCIRI long before the US invasion and takeover of Iraq in March 2003. US should back big opposition groups in Iraq-SCIRI [April 29, 2003]
"a senior official of the Iran-based Supreme Council for the Islamic Revolution in Iraq (SCIRI) said Iraqi opposition leaders had already agreed on a blueprint for a new government as part of a process started by Washington last year......
"Our problem with America is this: is it correct to ignore all the opposition efforts during the last six months started in Washington?" asked the official, who attended meetings in the U.S. capital which included Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld."

Rumsfeld and the "neocons" hope that we won't notice what is happening in US-occupied Iraq. Now we are beginning to find out why Iran was so cooperative in this Bush "regime change" plan for Iraq, which put US troops right on Iran's doorstep. U.S. Is Wooing a Shiite Exile to Rattle Iraq

[AP - Feb. 18, 2004] BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) - Iraqi Oil Minister Ibrahim Bahr al-Uloum said his agency is examining an Iranian proposal to build an oil pipeline in southern Iraq along the Shatt-al-Arab waterway.
"There is a proposed project to build a crude oil pipeline with Iran with a capacity of 250,000 barrels a day,'' Bahr al-Uloum told reporters, adding it was first proposed by Iran's oil ministry when he visited Tehran in December.

"We are in the process of conducting the feasibility studies of the pipeline, which will be released in the coming few months,'' Bahr al-Uloum said.

Since appointed minister by the U.S.-backed Governing Council in September, Bahr al-Uloum has visited neighboring Iran twice and signed agreements with his Iranian counterpart Bijan Namdar Zanganeh to supply Iraq with oil products....

Iran has had designs on this pipeline route for over two decades. Control of the Shatt-al-Arab waterway was one of the main reasons for the Iran-Iraq War 1980-1988. And now Iran is going to build their pipeline in US-occupied Iraq? Iran did support the US "regime change" plan to rid of Saddam: U.S. Is Wooing a Shiite Exile to Rattle Iraq
KUWAIT, Nov. 22 [2002] ? An Iranian-backed ayatollah may seem an unlikely ally for the Bush administration. But consider Ayatollah Muhammad Bakir al-Hakim.
The ayatollah is an Iraqi Shiite who has been living in Tehran for more than two decades. He is backed by the Iranian government, the one that President Bush has derided as part of an "axis of evil." His father once gave sanctuary to Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, the fiery anti-American cleric who later rose to power in Iran's 1979 revolution.
Still, the United States and the Shiite cleric are in the process of forging a political alliance of convenience. It is an arrangement that is strongly supported by Kuwait, Washington's staunchest Arab ally in its campaign to dislodge President Saddam Hussein......"

The Hakim clan leads this SCIRI, which has acted as part of a defacto police force, in US-occupied Iraq. Huge crowd converges on religious center to honor dead Shiite leader
[ October 3, 2003]"Iraqi police, the Badr Brigade -- the banned military wing of the Supreme Council for the Islamic Revolution in Iraq, and uniformed soldiers of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan provided security at the memorial services. The slain al-Hakim founded SCIRI while in Iranian exile. His brother has since taken over leadership."

    Not Quite A Dream Team

[February 17, 2004] Ask the candidate's supporters, and the advisor they mention first is Joe Wilson, the Clinton-era National Security Council member who investigated claims that Saddam Hussein was trying to buy weapons-grade uranium from Niger. Wilson won battle stars from progressives for going public with his findings, which contradicted the Bush administration's claims. Wilson's wife, CIA agent Valerie Plame, was outed by a White House source or sources as a consequence....
Richard Morningstar, Rand Beers and William Perry [are] three other members of Kerry's foreign policy team.

Morningstar, a former advisor to President Clinton on Caspian energy, was instrumental in pushing for the controversial Baku-Tiblisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline. The plan has strong support on both sides of the political aisle.

A consortium of oil companies are deeply invested, including Britain's BP, and the U.S. firms Unocal and Amerada Hess. In the 1990s, the Clinton administration did all it could to clear the way for BTC, including extending U.S. Export-Import Bank financing, and recruiting Dick Cheney, James Baker and others to lobby local governments. James Baker's law firm, Baker Botts, represents BP. Dick Cheney's Halliburton, an oil-industry supplier, won the contract to build refineries for several Caspian states. As a member of its Board of Directors, Condoleezza Rice helped negotiate Chevron's deal to drill the Caspian's purportedly richest field, the Tengiz....

Another of Kerry's foreign policy advisors is Rand Beers. Sean Donahue of the Massachusetts Anti-Corporate Clearinghouse wrote a revealing account of Beers'career for the Counterpunch Web site last month....

Rounding out Kerry's team is William Perry....He worked as a paid consultant for Martin Marietta immediately before joining the Clinton administration.
Today, Lockheed Martin, which was created in a merger announced just months after the start of Perry's policy, is the nation's top weapons maker. Its component parts include Martin Marietta, Loral Defense and General Dynamics. The mergers shrank company payrolls, but hugely expanded their political influence. When he retired in '98 Perry joined the board of one of the biggest?the Seattle-based Boeing Corporation. For those who are interested, Perry also joined the Carlyle group, the Saudi-based firm whose partners include no end of world leaders, including former British Prime Minster John Major, former secretary of state James Baker and the first President Bush.

The Kerry team does sound like a "dream team" for the US arms industry, US oil interests, and the Carlyle gang. Kerry voted to give Bush that blank check for US military intervention in Iraq. Iraq is now under US military occupation with direct US control of the Kirkuk-Ceyhan pipeline, which transports oil from Iraq to Turkey. A Kerry administration could continue with the Bush administration's consolidation of the Kirkuk-Ceyhan and Baku-Tiblisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline infrastructure, which would be a bonanza for the US oil industry. According to An official with Botas, Turkey?s state pipeline company, Ceyhan is the "junction of Middle Eastern and Caspian energy basins" along "the forked path from Azerbaijan and Iraq 'the Silk Road of oil.'" The Bush administration has used the US military to secure, the Baku-Tiblisi-Ceyhan pipeline route, such as in sending the Green Berets to Georgia, and the odds are that Kerry would do likewise.

Interesting, isn't it, that Kerry doesn't seem to view it as a "conflict of interest" that his "advisor" William Perry works for the Carlyle Group, which is basicly controlled by Bush cronies? A Kerry administration would not be any more likely to "find Osama Bin Laden" than the Bush administration has. According to this April 4, 2003 report, "The financial assets of the Saudi Binladen Corporation (SBC) are also managed by the Carlyle Group." "ARE managed," not "were managed." US Arms Group Heads for Lisbon Perry was Secretary of Defense from 1994 to 1996 & Deputy Secretary of Defense from 1993-1994. On his watch, the "Pentagon's own secret service" collaborated with Osama, as well as Saudi Arabia, Iran, Turkey, and other countries to smuggle arms and "mujahideen" into Bosnia. America used Islamists to arm the Bosnian Muslims

    Poindexter lives: Feds still snooping

    Wired News Feb. 23, 2004:
The government is still financing research to create powerful tools that could mine millions of public and private records for information . . .

some of those projects from retired Adm. John Poindexter's Total Information Awareness effort were transferred to U.S. intelligence offices, according to congressional, federal and research officials. . . .

Congress left undisturbed a separate but similar $64 million research program run by a little-known office called the Advanced Research and Development Activity, or ARDA, that has used some of the same researchers as Poindexter's program.

"The whole congressional action looks like a shell game," said Steve Aftergood of the Federation of American Scientists, which tracks work by U.S. intelligence agencies. "There may be enough of a difference for them to claim TIA was terminated while for all practical purposes the identical work is continuing."

    California judge pre-ratifies e-voting fraud

    AP February 18, 2004:
SACRAMENTO, California (AP) -- Two weeks before California's presidential primary, a group alleging widespread security holes in electronic voting machines has asked a judge to make counties install new safeguards.

Citizens from four counties requested a temporary restraining order Tuesday in Sacramento County Superior Court.

They asked that up to 18 counties using machines made by Ohio-based Diebold Election Systems add more safeguards to protect them against hackers.
    Newsmax Monday, Feb. 23, 2004:
California's headlong rush into electronic voting met a judge last week who apparently doesn't give much weight to a mountain of expert evidence against the use of machines still vulnerable to malfunction.
    [...]
Judge Raymond M. Cadei of the Sacramento Superior Court was appointed by former Gov. Gray Davis in May 2002. On Wednesday, Feb. 18, Cadei refused to order new security measures for touch-screen machines scheduled to be installed in San Diego and several other counties for the March 2 election.

'NY Times' fails to acknowledge role in WMD hype

    Propaganda Watch

    Editor & Publisher 2004 02 18:
Times reporters and editors bear a heavy responsibility, as far back as September 2002, for having raised the nuclear specter that could materialize in the form of a "mushroom cloud." National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice and Vice President Dick Cheney took some of their talk-show lines on the nuclear danger from the Times article of Sept. 8, 2002 by Judith Miller and Michael Gordon, "US Says Hussein Intensifies Quest for A-Bomb Parts."

Moreover, over the years, the Times had frequently reported that the threat from Iraq's biological and chemical weapons programs was real and ominous.

Does Ahnold want to be Amerika's Hitler?
    Monday, February 23, 2004

Check out this RealVideo file and NBC News/Libertythink transcript of Meet the Press 2004 02 22:
MR. RUSSERT: Here in Washington, Senator Hatch has introduced S.J. Resolution 15, and I'll put it on the board: "Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States to make eligible for the Office of President a person who has been a United States citizen for 20 years." How long have you been a citizen?

GOV. SCHWARZENEGGER: Since 1983, so it's more than 20 years.

MR. RUSSERT: So you're interested in this legislation.

GOV. SCHWARZENEGGER: Man, I should look at that because it sounds really good. I mean, are you going to help me? Come on, Tim. Come on.

MR. RUSSERT: Well, actually, about 10 years ago a friend of yours named Mr. Sly Stallone had a premonition in a movie called "Demolition Man." Let's watch this.

[Videotape, "Demolition Man" courtesy of Warner Bros.]

John Spartan (Sylvester Stallone): Hold it! The Schwarzenegger Library?

Lenina Huxley (Sandra Bullock): Yes, the Schwarzenegger Presidential Library. Wasn't he an actor when you--

    Spartan: Stop! He was President?

Huxley: Yes! Even though he was not born in this country, his popularity at the time caused the 61st Amendment, which states that--

    Spartan: I don't want to know. ...

    [end tape]

MR. RUSSERT: If you could, under the Constitution, run for president, would you?

GOV. SCHWARZENEGGER: Boy, if Sly would help me, I mean, of course I would. . . .

MR. RUSSERT: But if someone's been a citizen for 20 years, they should have the right to run for president, don't you think?
GOV. SCHWARZENEGGER: Oh, absolutely. I think that, you know, times have changed. I think this is now a much more global economy. I think that there's so many people here in this country that are now from overseas, that are immigrants, that are doing such a terrific job with the work, bringing businesses here and all this, that there's no reason why not. I mean, the key thing is it's just that you understand the political system, how it works. And, you know, maybe people can be great contributors. I mean, look at the kind of contribution that people like Henry Kissinger has made; Madeleine Albright. I mean, there's many, many, many people here that have worked within the government and have done an extraordinary job and not have been born in America.
Libertythink exclusively unearthed Arnold's 1976 Rolling Stone interview where he said:
"I was meant to be more than just an average guy running around, that I was chosen to do something special.

"At that point, I didn't think about money. I thought about the fame, about just being the greatest. I was dreaming about being some dictator of a country."
Finding an old book proposal from about the same time ABC News reported:
[Schwarzenegger] is quoted as saying he wished he could have an experience, "like Hitler in the Nuremberg stadium. And have all those people scream at you and just being total agreement whatever you say."
Does anyone remember how well it worked out for Germany when they had an Austrian immigrant take over the executive branch?

Was young John Kerry an intelligence operative?

Boston Globe has reported on John Forbes Kerry's (Skull & Bones '68) collegiate Presidential ambitions:
Kerry also had political ambitions -- and was aware of how much military service had served John Kennedy's career. "John would clearly say, 'If I could make my dream come true, it would be running for president of the United States,' ''recalled William Stanberry, Kerry's debate team partner for three years. "It was not a casual interest. It was a serious, stated interest. His lifetime ambition was to be in political office.''

Why? What drove Kerry? "I don't think there was any one specific issue, such as 'I am going to spend my life working for racial integration or world peace.' '' Stanberry said. "I don't think he had pet issues as much as he simply said, `The life of a politician is the life I want.
    [...]
What fellow "bonesmen'' most remember is how Kerry steered the talk toward Vietnam.

"You had this group of the elite of the elite selected out of the Yale senior class who probably were most adept at gazing at their own navels and probably thought the world rotated around them,'' said one of Kerry's fellow bonesmen, Dr. Alan Cross. "You had this one among us who saw this growing quagmire in Vietnam we were heading into with good intention and certain results. His statements were really a clarion: 'Hey, guys, this is happening, this is going to define our generation.' ''
    [...]
The National Archives provided the Globe with a Navy "instruction" document that formed the basis for Kerry's request. The instruction, titled 1300.39, says that a Naval officer who requires hospitalization on two separate occasions, or who receives three wounds "regardless of the nature of the wounds," can ask a superior officer to request a reassignment. The instruction makes clear the reassignment is not automatic. It says that the reassignment "will be determined after consideration of his physical classification for duty and on an individual basis." Because Kerry's wounds were not considered
Hm, so he was obsessed with becoming President, and he knew that the division over Vietnam would define his generation. Which side should an ambitious young man take? Why not both?

    More from Boston Globe:
[Kerry] requested and was granted a transfer out of Vietnam six months before his combat tour was slated to end on the grounds that he had earned three Purple Hearts. None of his wounds was disabling; he said one cost him two days of service and the other two did not lead to any absence.
    [...]
Kerry served two tours. For a relatively uneventful six months, from December 1967 to June 1968, he served in the electrical department aboard the USS Gridley, a guided-missile frigate that supported aircraft carriers in the Gulf of Tonkin and was far removed from combat.
    [...]
Kerry initially hoped to continue his service at a relatively safe distance from most fighting, securing an assignment as "swift boat" skipper. While the 50-foot swift boats cruised the Vietnamese coast a little closer to the action than the Gridley had come, they were still considered relatively safe.

"I didn't really want to get involved in the war," Kerry said in a little-noticed contribution to a book of Vietnam reminiscences published in 1986. "When I signed up for the swift boats, they had very little to do with the war. They were engaged in coastal patrolling
    [...]
The swift boat crew typically consisted of a college-educated skipper, such as Kerry, and five blue-collar sailors averaging 19 years old.
    [...]
Kerry declined a request from the Globe to sign a waiver authorizing the release of military documents that are covered under the Privacy Act and that might shed more light on the extent of the treatment Kerry needed as a result of the wounds.
Author B.G. Burkett has pointed out that Lt. Kerry, as the only officer on his swift boat, had no one to dispute his tales of injury.

Kerry, then of course went on to become a leading activist in Vietnam Veterans against the war, even testifying before the U.S. Senate, accusing soldiers in Vietnam of routinely committing war crimes. (See enhanced 'photo illustration' above.)

    Furthermore, as William Fielder explains:
[Kerry] returned from the Vietnam war to lead protests, denigrate our flag, mock anticommunists, and call his fellow veterans "criminals" before a 1971 congressional committee. In his book, “Stolen Valor,” author B. G. Burkett relates how Kerry used untrue examples of atrocities committed by US servicemen to back up his charges. He was infamous for wearing tattered fatigues that mocked the uniform, carrying an upside-down US flag that dishonored Old Glory, and disposing of his medals by throwing them over the White House fence. He helped launch an antiwar veteran’s group funded by Jane Fonda, and is pictured in his mocking attire on the cover of this book, "The New Soldier."
Does this not seem an ineffective and deceitful way for a "veteran's group" to protest the war?

What could become of such a protest vehicle? headmap.org explains:
In May 1972, Bill Lemmer, Southern Regional Coordinator of Vietnam Veterans Against the War (VVAW), a key group in the convention protest coalition, surfaced as an undercover FBI operative. Lemmer's false testimony enabled the Bureau to haul the VVAW's national leadership before a grand jury hundreds of miles away during the week of the convention.
But somehow the golden boy Kerry, who testified for VVAW before Congress, wasn't caught up in this dragnet.

Playing both sides against the middle and coming out so clean is a delicate pursuit. Perhaps Kerry sought to get by with a little help from his friends? As MSNBC.com and NBC's Today Show reported, (archived by Propaganda Matrix) 2002 09 04:
There is a Bones cell in the CIA, which uses the society as a recruiting ground because the members are so obviously adept at keeping secrets.
It certianly wouldn't be a first. Former National Security Council official during the Nixon and LBJ administrations, Roger Denton, wrote in his book Partners in Power, that Rhodes Scholar Bill Clinton was spying on antiwar activists at Oxford for the CIA.

Kerry went on during his Senatorial career to not only cover for the intelligence agencies in the matter of POWs during Vietnam, but also CIA drugrunning through Arkansas connected to both Clinton and Poppy Bush.

I defy you to watch this 48 minute documentary and not be outraged about the depth of corruption and deceit within the highest ranks of our government and the first family.

Note: The first one minute forty seven seconds of this program is in broadcast in Dutch, The remainder is in English.

[From the translation of the intro:]

After the coalition forces destroyed Baghdad it is now primarily American companies who are to rebuild Iraq. . . .

One of the corporations that work this way is the Carlyle Group. On their payroll are people like : George Bush (Sr.), James Baker III and old premier John Major.

The Carlyle Group is a private investment bank which doesn't come to the publics attention very often but it is one of the biggest American (ed: USA) investors of the defense industry, telecom, property and financial services.

What is the Carlyle Group? Who are the people behind the name? And how much power does Carlyle have?

Bush, Bath, coke, CIA, National Guard

Xymphora 2004 02 17 quoting from a CBC interview [pdf]:
After these Intelligence committees investigated illegal CIA activities they issued a stinging report concluding that it is incompatible for the Government of a Democratic Society to engage in KGB-type activities. What Bush did as CIA Director, rather than just terminate these activities, was to privatize them. He began to look for people qualified and willing to form quasi private corporations to take control of these assets and continue to do the CIA’s bidding. Because he needed a pilot to form an Aviation cutout, he turned to the obvious referral source - his Son George Jr. who was in an Air National Guard Aviation Squadron. All military pilots like myself and Bath have to hold top-secret security clearances, are clearly patriots, and have been vetted by the FBI. Knowing this (as a former Naval Aviator himself), George Bush Sr. asked Dubya: 'Do you know a guy in your Air National Guard Unit who we could bring in to operate an Air proprietary and deal with the Saudis?' George Jr. responded by recommending his drinking buddy, Jim Bath.":
    and::
". . . Bath explained to me that he had been tapped by George Senior to set up a quasi-private aircraft firm that would basically engage in CIA-sponsored activities funded by the Saudi Royal Family. He explained that the Saudis had basically entered into a quid pro quo relationship with Bush and that Bush when he was CIA Director worked with the head of Saudi Intelligence and the CIA trained the Palace Guard to protect the Saudi Royal Family who was concerned about a fundamentalist revolution. And it was at that point I think that this thing got kicked into high gear and the Saudis agreed to provide surreptitious funding to the United States to fight it's secret wars in Afghanistan and Nicaragua.":
The Saudis in Texas were Salem Bin Laden, Osama's brother, and Khalid bin Mahfouz, who were both probably acting as agents for the Saudi Royal Family . . . White told the CBC::
". . . Bath had told me that he had used Saudi money to fund George Bush Junior’s start up
    in the Energy business." :
and, on how he knew the money Bath was investing was Saudi money::
"Well I know that it was Saudi money because Bath had no money of his own. We were in business together. I saw his personal financial statements. I knew the amount of cash he had available at any given time. And he also confided in me that the money invested both in our Real Estate business and in Dubya’s Energy business was Saudi money. That was the only money there was."
Father Bush was helping the Saudis to invest in Texas and using Bath to keep an eye on them, with both his son and Bath lining their pockets in the process. Saudi money was invested in Texas with the help of father Bush's Texas business and legal friends, and at least some of it flown to the Caribbean for use in illegal CIA covert activities. This sounds like the ancestor of Iran-Contra, in that the CIA was using Middle Eastern government money to fund illegal operations through a secret proprietary airline. Bath, who is keeping a low profile, is the key to all this. Bath was suspended for failing to take a medical one month after George Bush was suspended for the same reason. The Alabama Air National Guard unit that Bush probably didn't report to is regarded as being very closely tied to the CIA's operations in the Caribbean, particularly its attempts to unseat or assassinate Fidel Castro. It was also a probable liaison between the CIA and the anti-Castro Cubans involved in the assassination of President Kennedy. A CIA proprietary airline financed by the Saudis would almost certainly have been involved in one of the CIA's favorite activities, the smuggling of drugs from South America into the United States. Bush was a heavy drug user, so heavy that he couldn't abstain for the few days it would take for the coke to clear his system, and probably avoided the medical for that reason (Bath may have had the same problem). As I have already suggested, Scott McClellan's testiness at Helen Thomas' questions about Bush's community service in Texas reveals that Thomas was getting very close to the deep political truth involved in the Bush-Bath-bin Laden-Saudi-CIA connection. It would be very interesting to know if Bath was sentenced to the same community service under the same conditions as Bush for participation in the same drug-related incident, which may have involved the sale of some 'excess inventory' being flown into the U. S. by Bath's little CIA-proprietary airline. Whatever happened in Texas may have given both the Saudi Royal Family and its American friends quite a hold over young George Bush, a hold which may even have influenced his failure to heed all the warnings about 9-11. A young personable man with a fatal character flaw is exactly the type that the Powers That Be seek out to be groomed for eventual political office, as the flaw allows them to manipulate the man to follow their directives. The American media is doing just what they are supposed to do, which is follow Bush's military records down the rabbit hole, where years of manipulation and fraud will leave the whole issue so confused that everyone will forget about it. It's the community service issue which could blow everything - and I mean everything - wide open.

US prosecutor says Justice Dept. sabotaged terror case

    AP 2004 02 17:
A federal prosecutor in a major terrorism case in Detroit has taken the rare step of suing Attorney General John Ashcroft, alleging the Justice Department interfered with the case, compromised a confidential informant and exaggerated results in the war on terrorism.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Richard Convertino of Detroit accused the Justice Department of ''gross mismanagement'' of the war on terrorism in a whistleblower lawsuit filed late Friday in federal court in Washington.
    [...]
The government now admits it failed to turn over evidence during the trial that might have assisted the defense, including an allegation from an imprisoned drug gang leader who claimed the government's key witness made up his story.

Convertino is seeking damages under the First Amendment and Privacy Act, alleging he has been subjected to an internal investigation as retaliation for his cooperation with the Senate and that information from the internal probe was wrongly leaked to news media.
    [...]
Convertino also accused Justice officials of intentionally divulging the name of one of his confidential terrorism informants (CI) to retaliate against him.

The leak put the informant at grave risk, forced him to flee the United States and ''interfered with the ability of the United States to obtain information from the CI about current and future terrorist activities,'' the suit alleges.

The prosecutor is being represented by the National Whistleblower Center . . .

    FDA pushing RFID
    Sunday, February 22, 2004

    From News.com 2004 02 19:
RFID tags, which combine chips that carry descriptive information and radio frequency technology to track inventory, could make it easier for businesses to track products and raw materials, and therefore reduce their operating costs over time. And with heavy hitters in the retail and consumer packaged goods industries, such as Wal-Mart and Gillette, already pushing partners to develop RFID capabilities, adoption of the tools appears inevitable.

Already the U.S. Department of Defense has said it will require suppliers to use RFID. And on Wednesday, the Food and Drug Administration issued a report urging RFID adoption among drug wholesalers, manufacturers and retailers. The technology is "needed to secure the integrity of the drug supply chain," according to a statement from the agency.

Early resistance to RFID adoption has come from civil liberties groups, which fear that the technology could lead to unprecedented surveillance of consumers.
