![]() Sunday, January 30, 2005 This doesn't seem to have been reported anywhere else, but Geraldo Rivera mentioned something interesting late last night on the Fox News Channel overnight marathon coverage of the Iraqi "elections." Rivera said that Moqtada al-Sadr had been bribed, paid off, so that he would keep his forces from blowing stuff up during the voting.Al-Sadr is the grand-mufti-type Shiite cleric who rules over a large, allegedly slummy, area of Baghdad known as "Sadr city."
